This new suite of dynamic hosted solutions from Microsoft, hosted in their cloud with guaranteed security and availability, will provide a quick and easy way to deploy or extend communication and collaboration technologies within any organisation.
The Business Productivity Online Suite (BPOS) will bring the very latest tools to customers’ computers and mobile devices without the hassle of purchasing and maintaining on-premise servers and upgrading software. As everything is hosted by Microsoft Online Services, customers will always be using the very latest versions of each technology. Services to be included in the suite at launch will include: Exchange Online, Sharepoint Online, Office Communications Online, Office Live Meeting.
Organisations which already have their own on-premise servers can still benefit from this new offering, as the suite is designed to integrate with and extend existing on-site deployments. Alternatively, the suite can be used as a complete communications / collaboration solution. The suite will be priced on a per-user basis, keeping licensing simple and allowing the solution to grow as required.
