Microsoft has today launched it’s eagerly anticipated Business Productivity Online Suite (BPOS) to the UK market.
This new suite of dynamic hosted solutions from Microsoft, hosted in their cloud with guaranteed security and availability, provides a quick and easy way to deploy or extend communication and collaboration technologies within any organisation. The Business Productivity Online Suite (BPOS) brings the very latest tools to customers’ computers and mobile devices without the hassle of purchasing and maintaining on-premise servers and upgrading software. As everything is hosted by Microsoft Online Services, customers can be confident that will always be using the very latest versions of each technology.
Services included in the suite:
- Exchange Online
- Sharepoint Online
- Office Communications Online
- Office Live Meeting
Organisations which already have their own on-premise servers can still benefit from this new offering, as the suite is designed to integrate with and extend existing on-site deployments. Alternatively, the suite can be used as a complete communications / collaboration solution.
The offering is priced very competitively at just £10.04/user per month for access to the entire suite, though components can also be subscribed to individually. This simple, flexible pricing model allows customers to scale the solution as required, enabling the suite to grow and change with the business.
Microsoft has today announced that GlaxoSmithKline are to be the first major customer for the new service, having today agreed a deal to migrate 100000 users over to Business Productivity Online Suite from Lotus Notes.
