On 8 July 2009, Microsoft released Mobile Express for Dynamics CRM 4.0.
We have been using this valuable addition to Microsoft Dynamics CRM 4.0 here at The CRM Business since release, and are very pleased with the results. Employees visiting customers are more productive, as they can now check contact details and account history from their mobile phones whilst on the way to customer appointments, and can make quick changes to records whilst out and about without needing to even touch their laptops.
CRM Mobile Express allows Microsoft Dynamics CRM 4.0 users to access and update their CRM data from any virtually any HTML 4.0 compliant mobile device, including:
- Windows Mobile
- Blackberry
- Iphone
This new browser-independent addition integrates with existing CRM 4.0 customisations and security settings to deliver CRM information based upon users’ CRM roles, and allows them to add and update data from anywhere that they can use a mobile device. System administrators can select which entities they wish to be available to remote users.
CRM 4.0 Mobile Express is installed on the CRM server – no setup is required on individual mobile devices.
