Microsoft publishes case study on The CRM Business’ recent Salesforce.com to Microsoft CRM migration

The CRM Business’ recent project to replace Eyeful Presentations’ Salesforce.com system with Microsoft Dynamics CRM Online has been featured in a case study on the Microsoft website.

After experiencing 50 per cent growth in one year, Eyeful Presentations decided to look for a customer relationship management (CRM) solution to replace Salesforce.com. Working with The CRM Business, it migrated to Microsoft Dynamics CRM Online with Microsoft Office 365, and provisioned its new office in hours rather than weeks.

Microsoft Dynamics CRM 2011 Update Rollup 7 now available

Microsoft Dynamics CRM 2011 Update Rollup 7 now available

On 22nd March 2012, Microsoft released Update Rollup 7 for Microsoft Dynamics CRM 2011.

This latest scheduled update for Microsoft’s Customer Relationship Management solution contains updates and enhancements, resolving issues which have been identified and improving system performance. As with previous update rollups, this latest release is cumulative and also includes all of the fixes issued in rollups 1-6. To install Update Rollup 7, Microsoft Dynamics Update Rollup 6 must already be installed.

A new feature called Read Optimised Forms is introduced in Update Rollup 7. With the introduction of this new feature users can view a record in a format whereby the form loads quicker. Update rollup 7 can be uninstalled from a Microsoft Dynamics Server, it’s highly recommended that your data is backed up before you uninstall rollup 7.

CRM 2011 on-premise customers can download and install update rollup 7 now. Update rollup 7 will be distributed to CRM 2011 Outlook clients via Windows Update commencing 10th April, 2012, however customers wishing to upgrade sooner can download CRM 2011 update rollup 7 today.

CRM Rollup 21 for CRM 4.0

Microsoft recently released Update Rollup 21 for Microsoft Dynamics CRM 4.0.

This latest update for Microsoft’s Customer Relationship Management solution contains updates and enhancements and includes fixes for issues in Rollups 1 to 20, resolving issues which have been identified and improving system performance. As with previous update rollups, this latest release is cumulative, however Rollup 21 CRM Client and data Migration packages requires Update Rollup 7 to be previously installed.

You can uninstall the Rollup 21 update from a Microsoft Dynamics CRM server. If doing so, you should back up your databases before uninstalling Rollup 21.
